Mindfulness Workshops
Looking to learn how to navigate stressors, become more mindful, and practice positive coping mechanisms? Library’s Social Work Intern from Stony Brook University, Stephanie Szabo, can help! Join Stephanie and your peers for Teen Mindfulness Workshops at the Library. Earn community service credit for attending these programs, and applying and sharing the skills you learned!

Join us for a calming hour of affirmations, meditation, and coloring. Learn and discuss the importance of mindfulness and being in tune with one’s emotions and self. Using some of the activities performed during this workshop, master mindfulness in stressful spots.

Kick off 2025 with the creation of a vision board! Using magazine clippings, printed images from online, and cardstock, create your own personalized vision board to encourage and manifest your ideal future. Learn how to use vision boards as a self-motivation tool to help you see yourself achieve your goals for the future.

Create your own bullet journal and learn how to track your emotions, stay organized, set goals, and create healthy habits. Templates will be provided to get a general idea for this form of expression and organization.

Learn coping skills and stress management, crucial skills in staying healthy. Make a scented slime and learn about ways to destress, cope when in stressful scenarios, and relax.
