Battle of the Books
Open to rising 6-9th graders!
Are you interested in participating in a Suffolk County-wide book-based competition? Join the Battle of the Books! The Suffolk County Battle of the Books is an inter-library book trivia competition, focusing on six young adult novels. Libraries across the island build teams, hold practice meetings and mini competitions through the summer, and then meet to “battle it out” in August. Winning teams earn trophies and medals.
There are Introduction to Battle of the Books programs on Friday June 5th from 6:30-7:30pm or Wednesday June 17th from 5:00-6:00pm. If you would like to attend and learn more, please register here, by date: https://emmaclark.librarycalendar.com/events/month?age_groups%5B3%5D=3

-Mon August 3rd, 6:00-7:30pm: Mock Battle at Comsewogue Public Library in Port Jefferson Station
-Fri August 7th, 5:00-9:00pm: Final Suffolk County-Wide Battle at the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge
-Tues Aug 11th, 6:00-7:00pm: Post-Battle Pizza Party at the Emma Clark Library
