Gain New Skills

Looking to learn skills that will serve you well as an adult?  Sign up for our Adulting for High Schoolers series!  Attend one or all meetings; each will cover a different Adulting topic.  These programs are exclusively for rising 9-12th graders.

Upcoming Programs:

Safe Driving Field Trip to Safety Town, Wednesday July 22nd, 5:00-7:30pm

Are you already driving, or getting ready to get on the roads soon?  Take a trip to Safety Town with the Library!  Brookhaven’s Safety Town is a replica of a miniature village with an indoor educational facility. Program participants will receive classroom instruction on traffic safety, followed by hands-on experiences using miniature electric vehicles, driving through Safety Town first without any impediments, then with various distractions such as “drunk goggles,” and “texting tests.” Parents play an integral part in this program, and must remain with their teens for the duration of the program.  Teens & Tweens Dept Staff will be in attendance to assist as needed.

Register here, starting June 16th: https://emmaclark.librarycalendar.com/event/adulting-high-schoolers-safe-driving-field-trip-safety-town-52317
