Winter Recess Programs!

We have SOOOO much going on over Winter Recess!  Sign up for one, two, or all the programs!

Friday December 18th, 5:30-8:30pm: Book & Movie Night: The Martian  You’ve heard it said many times before, "The book was better than the movie!"  But was it really?  Check out and read The Martian by Andy Weir then come to our Book and Movie Club to watch the 2015 movie version (rated PG-13).  Led by Library Assistant Kiera. Discuss your opinion, get the chance to win a themed raffle, meet new friends, and eat snacks!

Saturday December 19th, 10:00-11:00am: Tote Bags for Library Drives  Decorate canvas totes to be donated to local pantries and soup kitchens, along with items from the Library’s various supplies drives.  Taught by Teen & Tween Dept Staff.  Earn 1 hour of community service credit upon completion of the program.

Tuesday December 22nd, 5:00-6:00pm: Trivia and Snacks  Test your trivia skills at this program! Work as a team with your tablemates to win fabulous prizes. Plus, we’ll have snacks for all. Led by Teen & Tween Dept Staff.

Tuesday December 22nd, 6:30-8:00pm: Portable Board Games for Kids in Need  Create portable board games from recycled DVD cases for kids going through the NY courts system.  Taught by Teen & Tween Dept Staff.  Earn 1.5 hours of community service credit upon completion of the program.

Sunday December 27th, 1:00-2:00pm: Beautiful Braided Headbands  Create beautiful headbands that look braided, using mini hair ties and a simple knotting process. Taught by Teen & Tween Dept Staff. Earn 1 hour of community service credit upon completion of the program.

Sunday December 27th, 2:30-4:00pm: Uno Battle  Join your friends for an Uno card game Battle! Play several rounds of Uno, in smaller and larger groups; winners get prizes. Snacks provided. Led by Teen & Tween Dept Staff.

Wednesday December 30th, 6:00-8:00pm Movie Night: Gremlins  Join your friends for a movie night at the library! We’ll have snacks (Popcorn! Candy! More!) for this night of entertainment.
