Acts of Kindness Program (COMMUNITY SERVICE CREDIT for Grades 4-12)

In this video, led by Theresa Maritato, learn about 6 different ways to help your community. To earn community service credit, answer the questions in the Acts of Kindness Test Packet, and send your answers to the Teen Librarian, Emily Ostrander, at emily@emmaclark.org. If you get them all right, you get 2 hours of community service credit!

To earn community service credit, answer the questions in the MORE Acts of Kindness Test Packet, and send your answers to the Teen Librarian, Emily Ostrander, at emily@emmaclark.org. If you get them all right, you get 2 hours of community service credit!*

Pet Sitting 101 (COMMUNITY SERVICE CREDIT for Grades 4-12)

Watch this video, led by Michelle Vamos, to learn about how to care for pets in your community.  Skills learned in this program can be applied to pet sitting, shelter pet care, and more!  To earn community service credit, answer the questions in the Pet Sitting 101 Test Packet, and send your answers to the Teen Librarian, Emily Ostrander, at emily@emmaclark.org. What a Pittie! Humane Education Program (COMMUNITY SERVICE CREDIT for Grades 4-12)

Watch this video, led by Theresa Maritato, before reading through the What a Pittie! Humane Education Curriculum to learn about Pit Bull history, Breed Discrimination, the Myths about Pit Bulls, and how to help change the public perception about these misunderstood canines.  To earn community service credit, answer the questions in the What a Pittie! Comic Book Action Images

Watch this video to join artist and professor Chris Vivas in drawing Comic Book Action Images (Pow, Zoom, Ka-Pow, Crash, etc.). Various artistic styles of comic art will be presented as inspiration. Utilizing aspects of design and art you can learn how to sketch, layout and create a finalized version of their personalized Action Image!

Chill Out!  Stress Relief Program

Are you feeling overwhelmed with schoolwork, getting cabin fever at home, or just generally getting stressed out these days? In this video, led by Michelle Vamos, learn how to “chill out,” with some stress management and relaxation techniques. You can even make your very own relaxation craft!
